Granville

Tourism

The town of Granville, sometimes referred to as 'the Monaco of the North', was fortified by the English in the 15th century, and traces of its military and religious past still remain in the upper part of the town, encircled by its ramparts. Houses of character and picturesque town residences dating from the 16th and 17th centuries will mark high spots along your path. Granville is also notable for its fine sandy beaches, its salt-water swimming pool, its carnival and numerous activities which make it a very pleasant holiday destination. The Pointe du Roc, the Plat Gousset, the Upper Town, the Christian Dior Museum and the marina will soon have no more secrets from you.
